29,000,000 people in the U.S. alone play the game of golf. Although that might sound like a lot, the game has been on a steady decline over the past few years. The reasons are due to two main issues: time & money. SGL is making the game more accessible for people to play with a 9-hole match-play format that only last 2-3 hours, and costs less than half the price compared to playing a full 18 holes. SGL is competitive fast and most of all, fun! Become an SGL golfer and SGL pays you to play the game we all love! (along with travel and lodging expenses) SGL is all about inclusion. Growing the sport of golf is our passion.
Ask people how to become a golf pro and most people have no clue. Ask people how to become a pro in baseball, football, basketball, hockey and the answer is easy – they get drafted, sign a contract, and start getting paid. The road to becoming a PGA pro is a hard, long, and broken road. Going through Q-School and mini-tours cost players hundreds of thousands of dollars. Who loses is the fans; fans who never get to see the best players, only the best players with the money to go through the process.
What are your thoughts when you think of the game of golf, or the PGA? Is it a game that only rich people can afford to play? Is it a game that you can only play if you wear a polo or collared shirt and pants? SGL believes that golf should be enjoyed by anyone, no matter your physical appearance or financial status. Tattoos, shorts, t-shirts, what’s the difference? We want anyone and everyone who has game! SGL is changing the image of golf by adding drama, excitement, fun, and sport back to the game for the next generation of golfers.
SGL is all about inclusion, for both players and course. Our parter course are where we hold team tryouts, promote and build our fast growing league. We promote the courses, the courses promote our league, and everybody wins. SGLs model is based on win win, or no deal.
We want anyone who has game. If you have skills and want to be a part of the next generation of golf, tryout for a team in your area and get paid to play! SGL also pays for expenses, travel and lodging. SGL has Friday and Saturday matches, with an average of four matches per weekend.
SGL is committed to raising money for the next generation of golfers through our High School Golf Program. These high school golfers are the future of the game. We make sure they get the training and attention needed to excel at golf and give schools a chance to have a better golf program.
